Dinner plate at Up the Creek Jim and Mario, owners of Up the Creek

A living piece of history, Up The Creek was originally a store and gas station opened in 1956 by James Edgar Page Jr. and his wife Fanita. It served drivers traveling from Phoenix to Flagstaff before Interstate 17 was built.

In the 1970's it became a restaurant, and to this day, remains a cherished spot for locals and tourists alike who wish to experience dining in a tranquil setting with a window view of Oak Creek.

Retaining its agricultural past, the Page Springs area is now a vibrant part of the Verde Valley wine community. D/A Ranch, Javelina Leap, Oak Creek Vineyards and Page Spring Cellars are right down the road from Up The Creek.

Owners Michelle, Jim and Mario are intent on preserving Up The Creek's history and charm while offering their patrons a place to savor the local wine with a delicious meal.

Come in and relax. Forget about the busy world outside. You're on creek time here!
